owning chickens in oak forest IL

I am very interested in owning a couple chickens, trying to look up on line if you can in oak forest IL. Nothing is coming up if you can or can't..... anyone know if it is legal here??? Thanks

Your best source of info. is your local town/village office. They should know whether or not it's acceptable or not - ask for a copy of the rules/regs regarding livestock. Sue
