Auto Coop Door options

Does anyone make a auto door that opens and closes several times until the chicks setting under the door decide to move. I have to go outside and get them in so I can manually close the door which kind of kills the auto door idea which I'm getting tired of doing. Any ideas? The door I have now only stops and retracts up once then comes down and sets on the chicken. It stays in that position.

Maybe not this specifically, but it does seem to be yet another example of how chickens can foil our best-laid plans.

Ok, I feel terrible. I completely derailed Garagedude’s interesting thread.

Anyone here with auto chicken door openers who know of a model that will keep trying to close when a dingbat chicken freezes in the doorway? (without killing the chicken)

Like an elevator door that keeps opening and partially closing, over and over, because someone’s coat is triggering the safety relay. OP can’t be the only one with this issue.
