Oyster shell question

Wow they do look so different! They’re very pretty tho. What fun, it’s like a lottery draw as to what they’ll end up looking like! Both of our grey ones were supposed to be the same, too, but one ended up having a lot more gold on her neck and I’ve been told she’s a Rhode Island Blue chicken. A hybrid all the same. I bet you will get a beautiful basket full of eggs from those ladies!
Yes!! The Easter basket of eggs was one of the reasons I went with Alchemist Farm.
They breed for temperament & brilliant egg colors. And they absolutely love their chickens! You can really tell by her YouTube videos… her affection towards them is quite apparent.
They are not cheap chicks, but they’ve been quite robust. The chicks were lost in the mail, so I could not pick them up until after 72 hours of travel! (I literally cried on the way to the post office, out of pure relief & joy.) They all survived the journey. I had to warm up two chilled chicks (both Azure Eggers) on our way home. Their heat packet was cooling down after 72 hours.
Had one with a tendon issue early on (hopping on one leg for almost a week) which was healed completely with nutri-drench drops & nutritional yeast squirts for her (Rapha… one of our two French Black Copper Marans).
And I think one got Cocci (Wisha… an Azure Egger) the third day outside for “field trips” to the coop, at 5 weeks old. A treatment of Corid (for al of them) got her better in about a half day.

Wisha is our most talkative gal. She’s constantly talking… Peep. Peep peep. Peep. Peep peep… all day long! It’s freaking adorable! 🥰
And she will not let the other chicks rest until she is perfectly tucked between all the chicks & the front of the coop on the highest roost!
As the smallest of the chicks… it’s pretty funny to see her tenacity & the other chicks just bend to her will… some of them being almost twice her size. 😂
