Oyster Shells?

I live a couple of hours drive from the coast. I briefly thought about getting some oyster shells and figuring out how to crush them but decided it was not worth the effort. I can get a 50lb bag of crushed (for chickens) oyster shell for $9.00 at a feed store that is 5 minutes away from where I work.
