Oyster shells?

I feed my very(almost powder) crushed eggs in with some things. Will this substite the shells? They also free range and get plenty of treats.

Yes I think the egg shells do have plenty of calcium in it...should be ok. If i'm wrong someone will chime in here.

Oyster shells are really good, but not the only thing that's good. I'm sure your chickens are on layer feed. That's most important. Then if you want to give them oyster shell, that's fine, but so is egg shell that's been microwaved for 5 minutes, then crunched up. And I'm pretty sure grass is high in calcium, my chickens eat alot of grass. So if you don't want to use oyster shell, that's okay

Oh yeah plenty of grass and bugs and anything else that movesLOL! They are on layer crumbles right now but getting ready for the pellet transition. They free range most if not all day until bedtime then they go home.
