We've all heard of Rocky Mountain oysters which tend to refer to bull testicles deep fried and eaten. Steve Rinella on his Meateater tv show sauteed deer oysters in butter over low heat. Has anybody ever tried chicken testicles? I have some NN and Ranger roosters set to die this weekend, the NNs have just started crowing and the Rangers shouldn' be far off. I've noticed the oysters get considerably larger as they reach sexual maturity.

I just don't want to be a guinea pig!

I pickled a bunch of tiny quail eggs last fall. Friend of ours opened the fridge to get a beer and asked what was in the mason jars. I told him rooster testicles... silence.
I've never eaten them and sure as heck don't plan on it. However older (like depression era and earlier) have tons of recipes for things that most people would never consider. I wonder if at one point they were considered part of the giblets? I know some people serve up the unfinished eggs from butchered hens.

There was actual a person on here a while back requesting/looking for these unfinished eggs.

I have found some very interesting things at my local Asian grocery store.
I think I am going to have to make a pass to this store tomorrow.
I am willing to bet I will find them there.
