175 lbs of don't mess with my chickens. He's trained to a parameter though. And the chickens are wondering further and further. Lost our first one ever to a predator... hawk. I wish they would stay in the yard and quit wondering down the driveway and into the woods.

Chickens were originally woodland (jungle) animals, and they like such places, great hunting for bugs and stuff. Fencing?!

When he lays out in the sun sometimes the wild birds will land on him and pull hair out of him for their nests.
I wonder if that's like putting an ADT security sign in your yard 
Funny!! When I brush my Leo's I put the hair in a wild bird suet cage hanging from a stake. It's always empty....When he lays out in the sun sometimes the wild birds will land on him and pull hair out of him for their nests.
