7 chicks are out and 1 pipped out of a total of 9 fertile eggs! It's still only day 21 here too so the last egg could pip today!

Is this a good hatch rate for a first timer?: 1 egg died at around 5 days, 4 were infertile, and 8 are out with the 9th pipping now.

Chicken, I would say thats awesome.

I got six out of the twelve in lockdown. A couple should have been tossed long ago. Still have them in just in case, and thirteen more go into lockdown tonight.

They're so precious! What mix are the Olive Eggers? I wonder if they'll be solid black adults or black/red, or something else...

Just put mine into lockdown. I should have done it yesterday, but I ran out of day before I ran out of things to do. Anyway, one of the Marans eggs was peeping and rolling. Woot!

Then I set 2 dozen Ameraucanas, 6 or 7 olive eggers, 25 Marans and 4 salmon Faverolles. It's chick season!
