packaging and freezing

Have you ever weighed birds pre- and post-soak? I wonder how much "water added" there is.

I can't imagine it would be too much. I wouldn't think the water would seep into the muscle tissue, and I guess the skin could retain some, but never anything noticable.
 
I just wanted to add a follow up on this thread. The 10X14 bags that I purchased are on the small side. A 5.5 lb bird are pretty much the limit on these guys. The next size up was about twice the price.

Hopefully Cornerstone will restock soon.
