But I hear ya. I am a non-church going Christian. Came to realize that I can worship on my own and be ok. And when needed to call on the "when two or more gather in His name"... I call on my online friends.

Oh man!!!!! You mirror me. Christmas here is for the kids to get gifts and be magical - NOT about Jesus. Jesus was more than lifely born in September from what I vaguely remember. My shopping this year was about what one needed, and not about masses of gift paper. Even though I really love that - the paper flying all over and the squeals of joy! The small one we have here gets NO TV, so his gifts are all newness!!!!

I get let down too and that sucks. But I can deal with it better as an old woman.
