I agree with Nupine. This can get ugly.

....and I quote Coyote Magic...

"Yet he supposedly rose from the dead. He's not a witch, he's a zombie."

That wasn't a very nice remark.

supposedly ????

OMG you crack me up!!!!!! I about died when I read that!

LOL I've been waiting for you to show up!

I really hope everyone can get past being offended and laugh like I did. I seriously doubt Jesus is ticked off about it. God DOES have a sense of humor and we are ALL His children (in my eyes), and if He is offended at that remark, I am doomed.

These kind of threads are fun. I basically see two kinds of people. Those who relish the wonder and those who just expect it, see everything as ordinary. Some belief systems have more pageantry, and some are more logical, some are hokey, some are absolutely brilliant, and some are expensive. I love science, but I see natural things as a miracles instead of as an accidents. I also celebrate the power of placebo, so long as it is done with good intent.

Nope it wasn't. Wasn't meant to be.

Supposedly because I wasn't there to see it and neither was anyone on BYC or anywhere else on this plant.

Supposedly because that is a Christian belief, not a pagan one. Not Muslim, not Jewish, not Native American, not Buddist. Just Christian

Because one group believes it is so, doesn't make it so. Nor does it make it not so.

When you try to stuff your beliefs down my throat you expect me to accept it. Yet, when I fight back, you get all bent out of shape.

More harm has been done in the name of Christianity than all the milleniums of pagan beliefs

To accept the premise about witches is to accept the premise about spirits....Spirits did not create themselves, therefore, their actions cannot be random. Spirits must exist in a realm, which we humans, have, for some unknown reason, not been permitted to look into. This does not prevent us from trying to do so, whether through prayer, or conjuring.

In all of nature, there seem to be polar opposites, winter/ summer, hot/cold, swamp/ desert, and yes, good/ evil....Now, a spirt can't just be. It must occupy one side of the realm, and do its work, where it can.

So, we, as humans, must have some kind of identification for the work of these spirits, and we have come up with angels and demons.....The question is, which team of spirits are you trying to contact and why.

Demons do not have a problem with worship being directed toward them. Angels defer to their creator, and that's one good reason why Christ wasn't a witch.

Yet he supposedly rose from the dead. He's not a witch, he's a zombie.

OMG! Its another Depends moment for me! Between my broody meatie and Coyote this might just turn out to be not such a bad night after all!
