They are dong so much better! You can see personality in their eyes now! poor things. They were the lucky ones. Even their feathers are comming back! Fresh air really does wonders for birds!
awesome job...they have put on weight and have lost a lot of that deer caught in the headlights look they had about them earlier on. Their combs have definitely gotten redder and smaller! Do we have any idea how old the girls are? I wonder if they will ever fully adjust to life as a free animal, not some poor caged abused creature whose life is measured in egg production and nothing more. Absolutely disgusts me to think that ppl are out there eating shop eggs KNOWING that this goes on! I have eaten shop bought eggs my whole life...not any more after seeing this!
Ok ill get off the soap box...anyways great job keep us updated they look fantastic!
by the way how many are there? Perhaps if you post pics of each of them we can all try and come up with a group consensus as to names for them!
They look sooo much better!!! You've done a great thing.
My BIL is a electrician for Tyson Foods and they are not allowed to take their cellphones into the plant if the phone has a camera on it. Sounds fishy uh?
This whole story touched me. After I read it I never bought another egg in the store, I will go to the local farmer's market untill my girls start to lay. I was ignorant, now I know enough to be really sad. Thanks for helping a few hens out.
