That is a great feeder idea; I saw one in the latest Backyard Poultry magazine that is PVC, but they cut it in half, hinged it and flip it shut at night to keep the poop and stuff out of it. . .I thought it looked very innovative, and easy to make. I might even be able to swing that if DH would cut it in half for me.
