PA'ians Doesnt suprise me.....

We have them in our area.... unoffically that is... fish and game says we don't have them in NH but I have seen their scat and prints and my gf in the next town over used to get one come through her yard every 2 weeks...it's cry would make the hair on the back of her neck rise...I would keep an eye out... they have like a 40 mile hunting range and travel so if it found food in the area it will be back maybe not right away but soon

thats just it, the last sighting I heard of was only a few months ago and only a mile from here. The neighbor said in the days before the sighting his geese were getting missing.

A friend showed me a picture of a Mountain Lion taken by a proximity alert camera just recently. Apparantly someone had reported a sighting of the cat and had set up the camera over the carcass of a deer.
Only fifteen miles from me in mid MO:/
The best we can figure is that the cat was released by some idiot but who knows ? Big cats will travel great distances to find food so I guess we will have to be alert.

Chris.

Oh, it cracks me up that the game commission still denies the presence of mountain lions. Ask any farmer who owns a large enough farm. They've seen them.

There was one here in MO, actually I think on the KS side. Someone hit driving north on I-35. It actually had travelled down from the dakotas. It is now stuffed and on display at the MO Conservation Dept. in Kansas City.
