Paint for chicken coop?

I am in the process of building a chicken coop. Well, my fiance is, I pretty much just watch & make sure he isnt making it ugly . I am trying to find paint for it, and all the exterior paints are ugly colors that I have found. Has anyone used anything other than exterior paint for their coop & it didnt flake off right away?

I just got the 2-1 Glidden paint from Walmart. I used FRosted Pine and Gold Coast White for the trim. Its been outside for a while now and it looks great.
