Paint. Latex? Oil?

We need to seal/weather proof the outside of our coop to keep it from warping. I know chickens will peck at it out of curiosity so what should we use?

I don't think the material you use to seal your hen house will make a difference as long as it's dry before the hens come in contact with it... I used an exterior oil base sealer for mine and the hens are doing just fine... I know the oil sealer will hold up and last longer than the latex...
