So if you have an exchequer leghorn, what color of silkie would you breed it with? And would you eventually be able to breed out all the hard feathering?

If you can find a dominant white silkie, I do know some are out there, but good luck fiding out which ones are recessive or dominant, lol, anyways, if you find a dominant white silkie, bred to a black silkie, you will get all pieds (paint) silkies. The whites produced out of paint silkie breedings bred to a black will give you all paints. This is why they don't breed true. Very similar to the blues, if you want all blue chicks, you will cross a splash to a black.
