Is it alright to paint the inside of the nesting boxes? Might be a silly question but I wondered if it is okay since they sit in there for a while and the fumes from the paint?? Just want to be safe than sorry....

Many people do, to make them easier to clean. There won't be fumes after the paint is thoroughly dry.
