When we moved to our home on 5 acres a barn and a chicken coup were already here. We just painted the outside of the
barn of course Red. The inside is of OLD raw wood and is dark and depressing. The barn is about 15 to 20 years old
and solidly built. But we wanted to pain the inside a lighter color and I wonder if that is safe? What kind of paint should I use? I want it to be safe for our little chicklets. Thanks for the input and suggestions.

Might not want to do it until you can have them away from it for a few days, just think of when you paint a room in your house, how long it smells strongly for. The better the ventilation, the shorter you should have to wait. A little smell isn't going to hurt anything so long as it isn't building up fumes due to no ventilation.

Thank you, I figure I would paint just the back wall and make sure I put a fan up to the air out and see how it goes. Would not want to make
anyone sick!
