The builder just removed all his "stuff" today so it was the first time I have been able to clean (1/2" layer of mud on the floor) and take photos. I really love it! We will be painting it this week if the rain cooperates.I'm painting with a high grade, gloss, washable, interior, valspar, white paint.... What does your Coop look like?
Thank you! I am SOOOOO excited!Wow! Awesome job on the coop!
Thank you!nice!!!

There are 2 brackets just above the clean-out door. They will be set in those so that they are removable for cleaning. That s SWEET!
Where will the roosts go?
We did the same thing after *not* doing it in the first coop. There are 2 brackets just above the clean-out door. They will be set in those so that they are removable for cleaning.
A friend of mine was kind enough to tell me all the things that she wished she would have done on her coop - and her coop is really nice. She told me about the clean-out door (which I think is going to be key) and some other nice additions. I really like the idea about removable roosts - I would not have thought of that. It's my first experience with chickens. We did the same thing after *not* doing it in the first coop.![]()
How lucky to have that friend! I researched for years before we were in the position to build our first coop and I still found things I would have changed. Heck, on our current coop we build the whole thing without considering that it would have been nice to have a way to access the run from the coop for the humans. Oh well!A friend of mine was kind enough to tell me all the things that she wished she would have done on her coop - and her coop is really nice.
