Breeding stock on the Meyer Hatchery is typically from $100 to $150 for a pair or trio of birds, and those listed aren't as rare as these bantams. I haven't seen them on any of the big hatchery sites and all the boutique breeders have waiting lists and are not listing their price on the website: typically a sign that they are pretty pricey.

Do they look healthy and line up with the breed standard? If so, I say go for it :)

i am going to start breeding chickins i have a pair of bared rock should be laying any day

Trio of red bantam cochins..hens laying and all are 1 yr or younger $50 they look good is it worth it

Think about it... The farmer has almost $50 invested in feed alone in 3 birds that age. I'd say good deal if you are interested in breeding.

English Creole orpington cockeral and two buff orpington hens....all about 10 months...chicks are gorgeous from this trio....both hens laying....$125
