I have posted here three times with no help...but I'll try again.

I just lost one of my hens. She stopped eating, started drinking a lot, got really thin, and then died despite my efforts to help her.

Then the day after she died, I noticed my other hen, Vivienne, acting odd. She didn't want to go in the coop with the others to eat in the morning, instead she sat in a bush by herself. She has now been refusing to eat for three days, though I've seen her drinking, and she spends most of her time sitting alone. Her comb is slightly pale as well. She has green diarrhea.

Please, please, please, I'm begging you, please help me. I love these hens, they are my pets, I just lost one of my favorites and now I'm trying so hard to keep from losing another. I need someone to offer some advice, I just can't understand what I'm doing wrong and nobody has chipped in to help yet.

I'm so sorry your threads have gone unanswered.
How old are your hens? Can you post pictures of them?
Green diarrhea is typical for a hen that hasn't eaten much but I've also seen where that can be an indicator of reproductive cancer.
Can you please also post a picture of her poop?
I will tag some of the excellent ER folks in hopes someone is on-line to help you.

Thank you so much for responding. These pictures were just taken. She doesn't look particularly bad, but I can promise you that she's not acting normal. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of her poop, I'll try to get some as soon as I can catch her in the act. The poop was basically water with white slimy stuff (urates?) on top, and bits of solid green floating in it. Vivienne is two years old--she turned two in March.

I should also add that I have checked her crop, it is completely empty. I checked to see if she's egg bound, and she's not.
She is a healthy weight, and she doesn't have mites. She was also dewormed in September, and I haven't seen worms in her or anybody else's droppings.

This was the same for Esmeralda, my other hen who just passed away with similar symptoms. No crop problems, no egg binding, no mites. She, however, was emaciated, unlike Vivienne.
