Pale comb, no interest in food, and diarrhea. Please help.

I do have some mite spray, should I put some on Vivienne just in case?
Is it permethrin? If so, yes, I would treat her. Have you checked their coop for the red roost mite? The live off the bird during the day, they feed on them at night.

I'm sorry your hen is not well.
Can you take a video of her? Upload to youtube and provide a link.

If some of your chickens (hens?) and the roosters have mites, then yes...I would treat them all with a permethrin based poultry spray or dust. Housing/nesting boxes need to be cleaned out and treated as well, roosting bars too. Repeat in 7-10 day intervals to kill the ones that hatch.

I don't have permethrin, I made a spray using the recipe on this page:

https://www.fresheggsdaily.com/2013/02/mites-how-to-prevent-them-and-treat.html

It does seem to work, but not permanently.
I haven't noticed any red mites on the roosts, but I haven't done a thorough check. I'm starting to suspect that Vivienne might have scaly leg mites though, her leg scales look a little bit raised.

I can try to get a video tomorrow, it's dark outside now. Vivienne was walking around today, but she moves considerably slower than the others and just generally looks tired. She sort of looks like she's moving in slow motion, and she doesn't seem interested in digging/eating bugs.

Thank you everyone for the kind wishes and advice. I am going to go to bed now, I'll check on Vivienne in the morning and keep you posted with what I find. Hopefully I can get some decent pictures of her and her droppings.

Spring is time for Coccidiosis in chickens, I saw my girls had loose stools so I gave them Corid in their water for 10 days and things turned around, also, I found LICE on them "poultry lice", I dusted them with DM and waited 7 days , then I sprayed them with Permerthrin spray and then dusted them 2 weeks later with Poultry/garden dust, they are lice free and acting normal. I hope your girl pulls through. I've been to the vet with one of my chickens. because I definitely don't know everything ..silly, I know, but it gave me peace of mind, she's still with us and going on 3 yrs old.

I would try to get food in her as soon as possible. I don't have any answers for you but I do have sympathy! I'm actually in a similar situation with my chickens.

To get mine to eat I had to start with dried meal worms. Then watermelon which was a big hit...hydrates some too. Now I can get mine to eat layer crumble mixed with water and sometimes with yogurt. For some reason they like it wet. But change it every day if you make it wet.

Maybe begin an antibiotic treatment too just incase. It certainly can't hurt if she is doing so poorly. And I agree with trying the Corid again. You never know. Prayers for your chickies!! If you're like me, we get way too attached.

I know that some of my chickens have mites, but no serious infestations. When I checked Vivienne I checked her back, under her wings, her vent, and her head, but I didn't see any on her.

The roosters are the ones who seem to have more mites, which would make sense because they don't bathe nearly as often as the girls. I do have some mite spray, should I put some on Vivienne just in case?
What spray do you have?

One mite is too many in my opinion.
Mites can suck the life right out if a bird.

Go get some permethrin today.
