Little background... We have 8 RSL's that hatched on Feb 29th (leap year chickies!) so they are just over 22 weeks old. We had one that started laying at 16 weeks (we call her the over-achiever) and had more begin to lay 2-3 weeks later. I believe we have some that have just now started to lay since I've found a pretty small egg this week. The more that start laying the harder time I have figuring out who's doing what!!
But I've been getting 6 eggs/day consistently for a while now so I am only assuming at least 7 of them are laying.
We have one that has a very pale comb. She seems to be acting fine though. At what time do I start to worry about the pale comb? She could just not be laying yet, right? 22 weeks still seems young.... Just out of curiosity, what is the outer limit of laying age?
I've read that worms can also be the culprit of a pale comb... If this was the case wouldn't the rest of the flock be affected by this as well? The rest of the girls are all bright red and I haven't come across any abnormal poop.
I will try to get a pic if that's needed... it's tricky since they come at the camera like it's a treat! LOL

I had a brown leghorn lay AFTER one of my Dominiques. I thought for sure I'd see a white egg first, but nope! She was 28 weeks old.
