Pale comb with white spikes

[Queen Chicken]

My chicken is acting normal and laying eggs regularly. However, her comb and wattle turned from bright scarlet red to a very light salmon color in just a couple of days. I also notice a bunch of small bumps and little white spikes coming from the top of her comb. Here is a picture. Does anyone know what this is? My other chickens don't have it. Someone suggested it might be a fungus.

I have no idea what is causing the spikes. You could always apply some type of ointment to see if that helps.
