Hi all! A few weeks ago I posted about my hen that was going through molting and had a pale comb. It's been a while since finished molting and her comb and waddles are still very pale. I give her some yogurt every day. She is eating fine and doesn't seem to be in any pain, but her comb is just so pale. Is this normal, or is something wrong with her? Thanks so much.

I have the exact same situation. This is the second year my California White has molted (very, very hard) and I don't remember her being pale for so long afterwards (more than a week now). She seems OK otherwise so I think this must be somewhat normal.

I noticed last winter my barred's legs would go quite pale, and I always wondered if it was lack of calcium, or maybe sunlight? She doesn't seem to be that color in the spring and summer. Maybe proteen since the bugs are no longer available?
