I have 2 RIR we decided to try with chickens and they are mainly pets... They let us hold them and usually come when i call them they are acting normally and seem to be eating well (their food goes quickly) We were getting one egg a day from the older of the 2 and then started to have 2 a day, it seems like all at once they just about stopped. Im lucky to get one every 3 days or so... What to do?!?

Have you checked for parasites? Worms, mites and lice could all cause problems with laying. There could be stress, moulting, not eating proper food, etc that can be causing this.

Can you give a few details? How old are they? Do they act any differently??

they are not acting any differently and i just recently noticed them eating eggs... they roll around in the dirt but i have not taken them to the vet. i'm so new and clueless Im not even sure about this winter coming up. I live in Ohio so it gets snowy and cold. I only have 2 and they follow each other around <3 they are pretty good and nice. One is about 7 months old the other 9 months or so. I'm so confused.??????????
