He is just not excited about anything. He is easy to catch ( not normal ) First I checked his crop last week. It seemed full of air and his chest was wet. When I massage the crop for the first few days he cried out and tried to get away. So I gave him probiotics for 3 days. His crop is fine now. But still pale and mostly sleeping during the day. He is not molting. I have not wormed him. In the photo you can see his sister she is healthy. I struggle with mites as you can see on his legs. I have been putting oil on them to kill the mites.

Can u get a pic of his poops?
What is his diet? Do you feed layers pellets or all-flock?
If you can, check his crop in the morning, to make sure it’s completely empty.
Is he eating/drinking?

It could be worms, so if its possible you should worm him, and the entire flock.
Check the rest of his body for mites too.

Take a fecal sample to your veterinarian to determine exactly what kind of intestinal parasites you are dealing with and how to treat it. Also, investigate the diet and he enviornment he is living in. Good quality feed and a clean area is important in keep your flock healthy.

I was thinking about just doing a sample. That seems the most sensible. Not sure I understand the idea behind randomly worming a sick bird. I imagine it would cause his body more stress. My birds have good clean food ( pellets and grain mix) all the other birds are fine. It’s winter and muddy but it’s been like that every year in winter.

Don't mix the grains in, those are treats. He could be vitamin deficienct, especially with mites. Can you get b complex vitamins for people or chicken vitamins

I'd re-check that crop and the inside of his beak for lesions or canker. Probiotics usually will not treat symptoms of Sour Crop. It may be worth treating for Sour Crop even if it seems better.

Does he have any Mites or Lice on the body? Look through his feathers, around the vent, head, under the wings, etc.
