Pale yolks

A friend of ours got some eggs from us. He told us that one of them had a yolk that was so pale, it was almost white. Obviously, it was only from one our hens. I know that diet has a lot to do with yolk color, but why wouldn’t it be all of them laying eggs with pale yolks? Is there anything else that would cause pale yolks? Our girls are 1 year old ISA Browns. I’ve never heard of yolks being that pale before. ???

An odd egg here and there happens. Generally the yolk color is affected by what a hen eats. Sometimes illnesses can also affect the egg content. Sometimes a hen just has a thing, and her eggs are always odd.
