Hey y'all. My timeline is clicking away to get our coop built. I have been trying to salvage wood to use, but I'm running out of options. I have a great source of pallets, but all of them have been chemically treated. Would using an MBT treated pallet for animal housing worry you? Going to put walls and floors of plywood down so it wouldn't be in direct contact with the birds, but I don't really know how to gauge the risk...
Thanks for the advice!

I would not worry about it. I use treated lumber all over the place without any issues.
Most treated lumbers are treated with copper azoles or quaternary salts today. Once upon a time, they used copper arsenate (arsenic acid derived). Today's treated lumber is not toxic.
MBT pallets are toxic to handle and that is why methyl bromide is no longer used to treat pallets in north America. Heat Treated pallets are readily available for free at big box stores. They are a safe bet.
