Hi,
My husband picked up peat hummus at the local Big R to mix into their dust bath. I'm not seeing info on peat hummus, so I was wondering if there are any concerns?

They get wood ash, sand, and soil currently. It's time to top off.

Thank you Kindly for any info. 😁

Nothing wrong with peat hummus but is it necessary? Wood ash is highly alkaline so peat would work to neutralize the soil if you planned to use it as garden soil.

Not using it for garden soil, just for the girls to have something to roll around in.
I have extremely alkaline soil naturally. I actually have to acidify it for many of my plants.
