Hi all
i am currently performing the yearly late winter task of cutting back my pampas in anticipation of the new growing season. I had the genius idea of putting the dry grass in my run to give my ladies something to scratch around in and cut down on the mud. Then I thought that may not be so genius after all. Does anyone have an opinion on this? The leave edges are a little sharp. Oh and by the way I know some people hate pampas. We grow a ton of it because the deer won’t eat it. Thank you for your thoughts.

I'd call them more than a little sharp myself. We took out the pampas grass on our previous property because I got tired of bleeding and feared for my toddler's eyes.

I have no idea how a chicken would fare with it -- they are pretty tough.
