Panacur vs Safeguard - My chickens has worms

We thought our chicken had an upper respiratory issue, but we found out it is worms. I was told safeguard, but tractor supply doesn't have any, they only have panacur. Is there a difference between safeguard, TSC only has panacur?

Safeguard and Panacur are both Fenbendazole, just different 'brand names'.
Dose is still the same at 0.23ml per pound of weight give orally once a day for 5 days to treat most worms that poultry can have except for Tapeworms.

Did a vet perform a fecal float and figure out the cause of the respiratory symptoms were worms?

In your previous thread, you said that your chicken was sneezing often, and that she had a weak leg. Is she still having those problems, or is the weak leg improved on the vitamins? Is she better after treatment with the oxytetracycline? It is fine to worm her, but sneezing is not usually a worm issue.

Vet did not perform a fecal float test. They gave us antibotics, anti-imflamatory and panacur. The Panacur was for 3 days only. I assume if this one has worms they all do, but all others seem healthy. I heard to just give them a pea size and then 10 days later give them another pea size, is this true? For her since she is the one experiencing issues, you are thinking give her 2 more days worth since he only gave me 3 days worth. He left a message yesterday and said if she's not better in 2 days we will need to cull her, but I think since she's passing them that they are getting out of her system, and we just need to keep feeding her raw egg with vitamins and blue berries and force her to eat some feed, which is hard she doesn't want it and of course give her water. I take her outside with me cause she sits at the back door watching everyone else. I stay with her in an area and keeping the others at bay and she is eating the grass like she's starving but turns her nose up at the feed, is that normal? She seems to cough less, but it sounds like a hiccup and a cough mixed together.

A pea size dose is not a very accurate dosage. Most of us recommend 1/4 ml (0.23 ml) per pound of Panacur or Safeguard given orally every day for 5 days. If you only give it once and again in 10 days, that will only treat round worms, and not capillary or gapeworms. She needs to have chicken feed as the majority of her diet to get the proper vitamins and minerals. I would try wetting a small bowl of chicken feed, and offer bits of scrambled egg, or occasionally tuna. Make sure that she is getting access to granite poultry grit. She could stay in a dog crate with food and water for visits to her flock during the day.

She's actually eating right now, her feed. Yay! So do you suggest I start her on a 5 day regime with the dosage you suggest or wait, will it hurt her if I start to dose her again based on the amount you suggest? She's been eating now for the past few hours of her food. I am hoping she does the same thing tomorrow.
