I am treating all of my girls with .7cc of Panacur per my vets directions. One girl (out of 3 sampled) tested positive for Capillaris. Additionally, they are being treated with Corid 2 ml per 1 gallon of water, as same girl tested positive for Coccidia.

Of course I got my FIRST EGG yesterday!! And another today. What is the withdrawal time for Panacur?

I believe I've read it's safe to eat eggs from hens on Corid.

Thanks in advance.

It is safe to eat eggs from hens on medicated chick feed (which has low dose Amprolium), but I would hesitate to eat eggs with chickens on Corid which is a much higher dosage of Amprolium. However according to the FARAD notice linked (which is an older notice), there is a zero pull time on eggs with Corid if you follow the dosage suggested.

Panacur is fenbendazole. It is off label use in America, so not FDA approved for laying hens. Therefore, the general recommendation is to pull 17 days after last treatment.

I'll link the FARAD notice below.

Thank you very much.

I am so happy to see my girls getting better.

That first egg has been long awaited for ... however, since it's only 1 girl laying its not a big loss in the "get to eat" department

Again, thanks.
