PANICKING HENS

Thanks for your replies! Ya that was the problem I ran into, was trying to find these products in Canada. Luckily we don't live far from the US border, and my dad is heading down that way in a couple of weeks. I will have the Elector shipped to a postal outlet there and he will pick it up for me.
 
Permethrin is not available in Canada, and that is a common problem when chickens have lice or mites. Doktor Doom looks like it has pyrethrums and other ingredients, and is safe after it dries.

Some use ivermectrin pour-on on chickens 0.1 ml for every 2 pounds applied to the skin along the backbone with a proper egg withdrawal time. It is not approved for poultry, but some use it when they cannot get other treatments. You would still need to treat the coop. I would remove the bedding, nests, and treat roosts, nests, and coop when empty.
