I did not get Silver Laced. Mine are Chocolate and they are beautiful! I highly recommend Papa's Poultry

could I have some pics? I know the website pics... But I would also like to see what you really get... How freindly are they? Are the roosters aggressive or docile?

I ordered all pullets. They are very friendly.

I just hatched silver laced orpingtons from Papa's Poultry. They're only a week old, but the hatching eggs made it all the way from California to Florida with no issues/broken eggs and I had an excellent hatch rate!

Old(ish) thread, but in case anybody finds it and wants more input, I want to also say how happy I am with Papa’s Poultry! I’ve ordered hatching eggs twice and had great hatch rates, even though the eggs flew from CA to MA! I got three different colors of Orpington - Silver Laced, Lemon Cuckoo and Red Partridge. They are gorgeous and so very sweet and friendly! I love them! I didn’t keep the males longer than 6-7 months, but up until the end they were also very sweet, no aggression (yet) at all. Highly recommend.

those are gorgeous birds! i have used them a couple of times a few years ago and always recommend to folk close to west coast. i hatched some lovely silkies and a chocolate laced orpington bunch. they also were fabulous! Impressive to get a great hatch rate that far! thanks for posting!!

P.S. I want to add that of all my Orps from Papa’s, the Silver Laced are the calmest and friendliest. Total sweethearts, even the male who was a lap dog. Very tolerant with young children, too. Just the best.
