papaya recall, we all just ate one!

Well, earlier this evening my family and I ate a papaya. Now I find out the papaya is from a batch that has been recalled due to salmonella poisoning. You have got to be kidding me. It is going to be a very tense week in this house, that's for sure!

Eesh! I am sorry!!!!!

One of my biggest fears is getting sick from food. Just today I was drinking out of a cup that looked like it had... hardend milk in the bottem (idk.. I know it went through the dishwasher)
I kept feeling like I was going to get sick. lol

I have the same paranoia.

Mine generally manifests itself in the form of not consuming dairy. That's right. I'm not even lactose intolerant, just very very phobic...

Try and put it out of your mind. I know, it's easy to get super paranoid, but you can actually make yourself sick stressing about it. The mind is really strange that way. Just pray that all is well, and continue on with life. Was the papaya yummy?

You'll be fine. Your papaya wasn't tainted or you'd already be showing major symptoms.

Maybe some lifeway kefir will protect your gut.Wouldn't hurt!

I've gotten sick WAY too much in my life thus far from food poisoning. Thankfully I've not gotten and will never get salmonella or e. coli or anything, but I've been poisoned through food via tetramethrin and pyramethrin (sp?) (ie: Raid). I was laid out for 3 days.

At the worst, lots of diahhrea or puking if you've gotten sick from the papaya- I think you should be okay.
