Paranormal Activity?

I saw it last night. The hype really wasn't worth it. It freaked me out, but I don't like paranormal stuff to begin with (I like a good slasher movie, or zombies...). Is it worth watching at the theatre? No, probably not. But I did have to sleep with my head under the covers last night.

Ha ha- did that. We heard something coming through the woods and brush up against our tent. I went out with the flashlight to find a racoon sitting on the picnic table eating our bag of chips.

I like SCARY movies- but not GORY movies like Saw. Love the original Night of the Living Dead in B/W. Woooooo!!

I'm definitely gonna watch this movie at some point. From what I can understand, it's more of a nail-biter than anything else..

At least I'm not alone hiding under my chair now!

I love horror movies, but no they don't frighten me anymore. I love when they have interesting story lines or are suspensful.

Did any of you see the Orphanage by Del Torro. Good movie, very sad. I think that it has English subtitles.

I don't like Gore. Too me, gore just means that the director is being lazy and trying to gross people out instead of scaring them.

The ones that get me are the ones that are based on a true story....they had to get the base story somewhere??? That's what freaks me out!

Southernbelle, I am right there with you...but I want to be in the middle chair! Not on the ends!

When they say inspired by a true story, they mean very, very loosely inspired. Most of the horror movies that are supposed to be true actually only have a teeny tiny bit of fact about them.

Take the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Supposed to be based on a true story. But the serial killer it was based on-Ed Gein Gien-or was not anything like they depicted. Psycho was based on the same man. Again, not really like the actual story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Gein Although Psycho is a bit closer

The recent ghost movie, A Haunting In Conneticut, is also false. The writer of the book that it is based on said that the family could not keep their story straight and he knew that they were lying. When he went to the people who were paying him to write the novel, he was told just to make stuff up.

So, don't get too freaked out.
