Parasite query... prevention?

I have a hen about 2 1/2 years, 3 pullets, and a cockerel. I believe I have been bug free for my fair share of time, and feel as though i should prevent bugs before they get to me. But i need some advice on doing just that????

You could dust your chickens, their coop and run with sevin dust or Diatomaceous Earth (DE). Food grade DE is very safe to use and very effective. You should also deworm them every 6 months, unless you see evidence of worms in their poo, in which case you should do it immediately. Valbazen is a good dewormer.

I add Sulmet to the water for 3 days every 3 to 4 months to help keep coccidia away.

alright thanks guys. Wouldd i be able to find all this stuff at a local feedstore?

You should be able to, yes. I'm not in the US, but I got all I need at either the feedstore or the pet shop.
