This is my main rooster, Buddy. He's about a year old (hatched april/may 2025). I'm so proud of him as a rooster. He's so gentle with the hens! They don't run away when he wants to cover them, and he always lets them eat and drink before he does. I think his mother is a Golden Laced Wyandotte, and his father is a BYM. When he was little, he'd let me pet him (doesn't like that anymore) and he still eats out of my hand from time to time. Never made a move to be mean to me or the hens. No real point to this thread, he's just a good boy

We have an all-girls’ establishment here (city ordinance), but I am jealous! He’s very handsome, and he definitely seems like a keeper.
