I am a parasitology student and would absolutely love to test your backyard flock for intestinal parasites, I need the practice. If you are located in the USA and are willing to mail me some fresh poo in a small ziplock and then a regular mail envelope, PM me and we can talk.

Here's a fun little thing I found in my chicken's poo last night.

Depending if it's an adult egg and the size of the egg; I'd say it's either Ascaridia galli as being the large adult egg or Heterakis gallinarum if it's smaller. I'm leaning heavily towards a large roundworm egg. LOL

It is, indeed, an ascarid egg. Heterakis eggs are slightly (slightly!) smaller and are more narrow.
