I didn’t notice anything like that. Bubbles were from the bleach spray I sprayed in the sink.The bubbles threw me too!

Did you notice any parts of the hen that had maggots? Maybe under her vent or a wound?

Your state vet may do a necropsy to look for a cause of death if you keep the body refrigerated or cold and take it in. Don’t freeze the body. If you are up to doing a home necropsy outside, you could look for egg yolk peritonitis or lash egg material, or crop problems. Take pictures of the liver, intestines, and other organs and post them if you do

Different types of flies lay different types of eggs = different types of maggots.I thought maggots were white?
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
