Pardon my ignorance

These are my three bantams. My daughter has named them Duck, Goose, and Turkey (four year old humor.) Can any one tell me what breed they might be? I know it's not a good picture.

Also. is there any sure fire way to tell if a three week old RIR chick is a roo?

Silkies! Cool! That's what I thought they were, but being new to chickens, I wasn't sure.

What's wrong with Silkies? I like them! They are feisty and yet goofy. What's not to love?

Mine crack me up. I have two rescue silkies that I got from Justasnak and they are so very comical. I have two purebreds who are very gentle. I love silkies...but I don't depend on them for our eggs.

Oh-eggs. I got them mostly because they were given to me. We had wanted RIRs but hey! A free chicken is a free chicken! I know they are basically good for nuthin. But they sure are fun!

They sure are pretty, and free, you can't beat that! My first silkies will be here next tuesday! I am so excited!! I love those names! How cute is that!!
