We have raised parrots for years. Parakeets, Cockatiels, Conures, IRN, etc. They love their "moist food". It is a combination of brown rice, green and yellow split peas, soy beans, and anything else that looks good.
Now the FYC love it too, that would be the "front yard chickens". Though the split peas tend to be a second choice of the Delightful Dozen.
The other thing the Delightful Dozen get nearly daily is leftover parrot seed. Sunflower, safflower, etc. They attack it - scratching and scrambling for first "dibs". Too funny.
Anyone else with similar ideas?
