Part Time Broody?

I have a hen that appears to be broody during the day. She will sit in the nest box all day and if I try to move her she growls. However, in the evening she will leave the nest and hang out with all the others and then roost for the night. Has anyone ever had a part-time broody hen? Should I just let her keep doing it or try to break it somehow?

A couple of my low ranking hens hangout in the nests during the day to avoid the abuse. If she is broody it sounds as though she just doesn't get it. She will probably give up on her own after a while.

sometimes they do part-time before they transition to full time. Like a trial run to make sure they want to do it.
