Partial soft shell egg... Why?

Love it! I have barrels that catch rain water from the guters on my coop so I dont have to lug water out there. It has a spicket. On the bottom. I have no clue how I can keep
It from freezing up. I may have to suck it up and lug water out there during cold months.

I wouldn't try to keep 55 gallons of water from freezing over the winter...I'd shut the barrel system down before cold weather.
