One of my barred rocks has been sitting on a clutch for a couple weeks now, and I found this today. It was in her nest with her .... Do you suppose one of my other hens got in and turned evil cannibal, or did it hatch and the chick is... Gone? I can't even find the rest of the shell.

Having trouble editing on phone, but want to add that I will be closing off her area tomorrow morning to make sure other hens cannot get to her nest, as her eggs should be hatching soon-ish.

Either the mom or another hen ate it. She should definitely be sectioned off. What day is she on? The chick didn't hatch, there's too much blood left.

Ok, so definitely eaten. Ew.
This is my first time with a broody hen (and I've never Incubated eggs) so I wasn't sure what it should look like, thanks!
I'm not sure exactly what day she's on, but she is at least 2 weeks in. I told myself when she first started that I should mark it on a calendar but.....
She decided to do this up in the potting shed, so I already have some plastic mesh fencing ready to put a temporary barrier because I'm worried about chicks falling out once they hatch. I'll be doing that first thing tomorrow, and just keep food and water in there for her so she doesn't have to leave to forage. And then I figured a ramp with sidewalls to make sure she can take them out safely when it's time. She picked the worst spot 😂

Yeah, definitely eaten. I have my fire broody right now too. I've hatched in an incubator many times before though. The barrier is a good idea. Make sure the food and water are far enough away that she has to leave the nest to get them. That way she'll poop while she's up and not on the eggs. If she can get to them from the nest she'll poop on the eggs.
