Hi I have a bunch of partridge rock chickens and I was wondering when they start laying. Any one no?????

They can start laying any time after 18 weeks. I had a Columbian rock and she started laying about 20 weeks old and she layed 5 eggs per week.

I think mine was about 20 weeks but I'm not positive. I know she was one of the first to lay out of my group of various brown-egg layers.

My Black Aust. took about 22 weeks (I think - I had 3 different breeds at the time all laying brown eggs) - they were good egg-layers and sweet birds.

I have 2 Partridge Rocks that are a year old, and they both started laying at around 26 weeks. It seemed like forever! but they were born at the end of May! Hope it's soon!
