thanks eggcessive. It was our first loss in our flock. Its been a hectic month. The rest of our chickens are looking fine and molting normally.
We just finished expanding our coop and winterizing it. We also rescued 7 more chickens that were with a friends neighbour. He had them in a gross disgusting coop. they are 1 year old and he didn't feel like wintering them so he was gonna kill them and toss them out!!! we only had room for 7 so we took 3 New Hampshire's, a black sexlink, just like black sheep we just lost, an ameraucana and 2 ISA browns. at least thats what he told us they were. The little ameraucana is easy to identify. We kept them separated for 2 weeks and wormed them and dusted them with DE a few times. Hopefully they don't have a mite problem but a few were friendly enough to pick up and checking for mites, we didn't see any. I also bought a stress/vitamin additive for there water.
I will post pictures as soon as i can.
Thanks everyone for the support.
