Pasty butt HELP!

got chicks today!!!

one of the SLWs has pasty butt

how do i get rid of it?

Great! CR, I didn't read the article, but... when that happens to our chicks, we just run their hindquarters under some warm water and gently try to wipe it off.

Put a dab of olive oil around the vent feathers and no more pasty butt. I use a Q-Tip to do it.

Both my tiny Seabright dayolds had pasty butt off and on for 3 days. I added a wee bit of apple cider vinegar to all their drinking water and used a q-tip with witchhazel & aloe blend to soften and clean off and sooth 1 X daily and then it all cleared up. I think they were chilled as the PO box of chicks was cold to the touch by the time I picked them up and they were the first to crash under the infrared almost constant.

I had one with constant P/Butt and vesilne stopped it!! worked great!
